Yes, that’s a hedgehog riding a donkey! This Chinese cookie is made from fortune cookie dough. Normally I never eat fortune cookies, but these were so beautiful… that I can’t eat them either.

  3. ha..perhaps i can give a little insight…the top pix is actually a monkey… the last character on that cookie is monkey in mandarin… i think it’s related to the 12 lunar zodiac animals…

    the cookie with the frog is with ancient chinese coins in its mouth…its a symbol of wealth for the chinese..just like the symoblic japanese cam cat…
