Comments turned off due to inordinant comment spam

Dear Culiblog Reader,

Yesterday I was forced to turn off your ability to comment on this blog because I received eleven hundred spam comments. One one oh oh. That was my one day record, but it was part of a larger trend that is getting massively up my nose. As you know, I am interested in what you have to say about what I have to say and I will quickly find a solution to this problem.
